Cole Community Center – FAQ

Why should we build the Cole Community Center? It is apparent in so many ways that God is calling our church to reach our neighborhood. We understand and accept that God has been preparing us for this next step of action. It is now time to add a significant addition to our property at NW Expressway, to give us space for education, recreation and transformation for our own church body, and especially for our neighborhood.

How much will it cost? The entire building project is $3 million.

How much money do we have at the present? We currently have $1 million.

How will we pay for the rest of it? Through the financial gifts received as a result of much prayer and consideration by each of us.

Will the church go into debt? No. We plan on taking short-term lines of credit that will be paid through your financial gifts.

What amount of time will we have to give financially to the building? We envision gifts coming over the course of three years.

When will the center be completed? The building will be ready for occupancy in early 2011.

It seems we don’t have much property to put this new building. Where will it be located? The new building will be located in the south parking lot of the church campus. It will mainly cover the grass parking area, but it will definitely take up some of our current parking spaces in the back.

Then where will I park? The building process includes adding some extra parking spaces in the north lawn on the church campus. Also, during the construction process, we have gained a cross-easement parking agreement with Northwest Office Center (to the east of us). On Sundays and Wednesdays, we can use their parking lot as our own.
